  3. Not a very good choice for Catherine this time. The fabric is surely gorgeous and complements her skin and hair very well, but the cut is not for her. She's wearing an undershirt, which is in plain sight (the back and under the armpit especially). Not very elegant... the dress, I repeat myself, is gorgeous. But if it's so cold, why choose to wear that dress? I think an even more modest dress, maybe with sleeves and closed back, would have been better.

  4. marta - I don't think that the visible nude panels are an undershirt; as far as I understood it, it's a deliberate design feature that is supposed to give the dress some edge. (If it's successful or not is yet another question.) I also read on another site that the nude panels under the arms should actually prevent the skin from getting irritated by constantly being rubbed against the sequins, which makes sense.
My main quibble with this look is her hair, I think that this dress called for an updo. There is a lot going on with the dress with all those sequins and the long hair makes the whole look even heavier, I think. Other than that, Kate looked beautiful and radiant, even if the dress isn't my personal favourite.
